Barcelona is the setting for the globe’s biggest sailing conpetition, and you’re invited to join us aboard our vessel offshore, providing prime viewing spots for the event. Come and immerse yourself in the genuine thrill of the America’s Cup 2024 with a memorable cruise along Barcelona’s coastline.

Wacth the America’s Cup from a boat in Barcelona

Our America’s Cup  Experience begins at Port Olímpic, conveniently located near the racecourse. Upon boarding, our team will warmly greet you, provide a tour of the boat, and offer drinks to enhance your experience. After departing from the port, we’ll maneuver to secure the optimal viewpoint, ensuring proximity to the race course and the thrilling atmosphere, guaranteeing you a pleasant view of the regatta. Our package includes motor yacht or passenger vessel rental, captain and crew, fuel, beverages, brunch and tapas, and a TV for following the official America’s Cup broadcast. The experience will last approximately 5 hours, with departure planned around 12 AM and return scheduled after the conclusion of the competition, likely between 5 PM. Please note that exact timing may vary depending on event logistics, but this is the information we have received thus far.

The Schedule and Timeline for the America’s Cup 2024.

The most significant events of the America’s Cup start from August 21 and extend until October 20. However, even now, in the early stages of 2024, many teams are sailing daily with their prototypes, filling the Barcelona skyline with black sails moving at incredible speeds: Training sessions have begun

  • August 22: Official opening of the America’s Cup in Barcelona.
  • Last week of August: Preliminary regatta in Barcelona.
  • August 29: The Challenger Selection Series is the pivotal event that determines the team challenging the Defender, Team New Zealand, in the 37th America’s Cup Final Regatta. This series comprises both a Round Robin stage and a Final stage. The Round Robin stage may involve either a single or double round, depending on the number of eligible competitors and available racing time. The two winning teams from this stage will secure a spot in the Final, where the ultimate winner is determined.
  • From September 26 to October 2: The Youth America’s Cup takes center stage. This event is a highly anticipated highlight of the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona, showcasing the next generation of sailing superstars. The Youth regatta spans September and October 2024, with the Youth America’s Cup starting after a practice period on September 26. The final is scheduled for October 2.
  • From October 4 to October 16: The Puig Women’s America’s Cup kicks off immediately after the conclusion of the Youth America’s Cup, with practice days starting from October 4, 2024. The regatta itself starts on October 10 and runs through to October 15, before the final match race programmed for October 16, 2024.
    We’re delighted to announce that our Southern Cross fleet vessel, capable of accommodating up to 65 passengers, has been contracted by the organization to provide viewing for the Puig regatta.

  • October 12 to October 20: The main event and grand finale begin with the start of the final regattas of the America’s Cup 2024, concluding on October 20. It promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime event, where elite sailing competition will merge with the iconic scenery of Barcelona’s coast.

Monitor the race closely and remain informed throughout

When you charter a boat for the America’s Cup event, you’re not just getting a front-row seat to the boats; we also provide TV and radio facilities onboard. This ensures you can watch the competition up close and listen to commentary for an enriched fan experience.

America’s Cup Race Village and Bases

 From August to October 2024, Port Vell and Port Marina Vela in downtown Barcelona will serve as the central hubs for the 37th America’s Cup, featuring a freely accessible race village along Moll de la Fusta, Maremagnum and Port Vela.

• Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli has selected Port Marina Vela as its base, located adjacent to the iconic W Hotel in La Barceloneta.

• American Magic’s base is situated within the Marina Barcelona 92 superyacht facility.

• Emirates Team New Zealand’s base, chosen by the Cup holders, is situated near the World Trade Center.

• INEOS Britannia and Alinghi Red Bull Racing are positioned near the Maremagnum shopping mall.

• Orient Express Racing Team will be stationed on Moll de Ponent, west of the World Trade Center.

The race area will span the coast of Barcelona, with designated viewing points for those interested in witnessing the action from boats on the water.

Additionally, the Maremagnum area is home to the first Official America’s Cup 37th Barcelona 2024 Outreach Center.
